Metro Ambulance L.P. was incorporated in the State of Texas in July of 1994 to provide prompt, quality service and professional care to individuals who are ill or injured and in need of transportation to or from health care facilities.

Metro Ambulance strategically locates ambulances throughout the cities of San Antonio and New Braunfels, serving the communities of Bracken, Cibolo, Converse, Garden Ridge, Kirby, Live Oak, Selma and Universal City with a 24 Hour satellite office located in San Antonio, Texas. Areas of service include the counties of Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Frio, Guadalupe, Hays, Karnes, Kendall, Medina and Wilson.

Metro Ambulance was founded by Susan Baldwin-Beck. Mrs. Beck grew up in Schertz, Texas where she served many years as a Paramedic with the local Emergency Medical Services. She established Metro Ambulance to meet a greater community need and has staffed her ambulances with some of the finest qualified Medics in the local industry.

With the dedication of its founder and qualified staff, Metro Ambulance is positioned to meet the needs of the communities it serves in compliance with its stated mission.

There are distinct differences between ambulance services. Here at Metro Ambulance we excel in quality, with all personnel certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services and all of our ambulances are maintained to the highest of fleet standards. Our on-board equipment is State-of-the-Art and used by properly trained Medics. Metro Ambulance provides Critical Care and Neonatal transportation, working closely with highly skilled teams of medical professionals. Our Paramedics receive extensive training on the transportation of patients requiring ventilator and IV pump support.

In addition to the quality that shows, Metro Ambulance is oriented to providing the best in patient care. The safety and comfort of your patient or loved one while in our care is of the utmost importance. At Metro Ambulance we have our own internal Quality Assurance program. All medical protocols are reviewed and endorsed by our Corporate Medical Director. Individual transport documents are reviewed monthly by our Clinical Coordinator.

Here at Metro Ambulance, we have highly qualified and skilled Customer Service Representatives in our billing department. These representatives attend on-going training throughout the year, pertaining to insurance billing and HIPPA requirements. They have extensive knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance, combined we have over 40 years of billing and collection experience in the medical industry. Our Customer Service Representatives have great rapport with the health care facilities, hospitals, physicians and insurance companies that serve San Antonio and its surrounding areas. You will never call out-of-state, or speak to someone who has no knowledge of your transportation or billing inquiry needs. Our billing office submits all claims by the third business day and you can rest assured that your claim is being handled properly. In accordance with our mission statement, the billing department strives to provide prompt billing, quality follow-up and professional care before and after your transportation needs.
