Equipment
As the leader in critical care transportation, our equipment and personnel must be state of the art. Our paramedics are all trained to utilize Zoll E series 12-lead ECG monitors, Impact 754 Eagle Assist Control and Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory setting Ventilators, Respironics BiPAP S/T noninvasive ventilators, and Medex Medfusion intravenous Syringe Pumps. These medics also receive training on equipment and medications that most Paramedics do not typically encounter including but not limited to: Intra-aortic Balloon Pumps, chest tubes, arterial lines, vasopressors, thrombolytics, sedatives, paralytics, antibiotics, blood, Standing and Sled Isolette Infant Incubators, and lastly Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation machines.
Zoll E Series
Every monitor has two-piece adult and child CPR stat•padz.® for fast, accurate placement and CPR feedback without extra steps or sensors. The E series monitor allows chest compression rate and depth to be measured in real-time, and both visual and audible feedback are provided. All CPR data is recorded and reviewed using RescueNet™ Code Review software. Masimo® pulse oximetry provides accurate SpO2 measurements during low perfusion and high motion - when you need it the most. GE®12SL 12-lead ECG interpretation and communication add more diagnostic capability. Every monitor has 2 Rechargeable SurePower™ lithium ion batteries for extended capacity and longer run times and each monitor has the ability to be plugged into an AC electric current. Bluetooth® provides wireless data transfer and 12-lead transmission to alert destination Emergency Departments of incoming Heart Alert patients. ZOLL's E series Rectilinear Biphasic™ waveform (RBW) was designed specifically for external defibrillation to control for variations in patient impedance. Only the ZOLL RBW has demonstrated statistical clinical superiority to monophasic waveforms in peer reviewed randomized controlled trials.
Impact 754 Ventilator
The Eagle 754 portable ventilator is a self-contained 5.8 kilogram ventilator-compressor-blender that runs in Assist Control and Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation modes. Enabling our adult, pediatric, or neonatal patient needs to determine the manner of ventilations better facilitates ventilator transfers, as the patient receives better controlled/needed breaths. The Eagle 754 offers PEEP - Positive End-Expiratory Pressure settings from 1 to 20 cmH2O and FiO2 (fraction of inspired oxygen, the percent concentration of oxygen in the gas entering the lungs, ventilator or a blood oxygenator) settings is adjustable from 21% to 100%. Impact continues to provide superior ventilators with a Tidal Volume that ranges from 0-3000 ml and Ventilation Rates adjustable from 1 to 150 breaths per minute. The Eagle 754 runs on an internal rechargeable battery and external AC/DC currents.
Philips Respironics S/T S(Spontaneous and Timed) BiPAP and CPAP
Respironics BIPAP ST is the first noninvasive device to combine proven BiPAP technology with SmartCard which facilitates more accurate tracking of data management. The compact unit is easy to operate and offers an easy to understand user interface. The BiPAP ST has the ability to work with a backup rate which will operate in case the patient stops breathing. The unit will operate as a small ventilator forcing air in and out. A bi-level mode which responds to both patient inhalation and exhalation by increasing pressure when they start to inhale and decreasing pressure when they start to exhale. If they do not start inhaling within a set time, the device automatically starts inhalation. When the device starts inhalation, it controls the time of inhalation and automatically decreases the pressure for exhalation within a set time.
Medex Medfusion intravenous Syringe Pump 2001
The Medex Medfusion 2001 syringe pump provides continuous or intermittent delivery whenever meticulous low volume drug or fluid injections using a syringe are required. A unique feature of the Medfusion 2001 is the custom program mode which allows infusion modes and parameters. Those needs are customized by selection of the number/type of infusion modes, the maximum infusion rate, the alarm volume, the alarm temporary delay time, volume limit, KVO rate, and alarm types. The Medex Syringe pump weighs less than 3 pounds.
Stryker Power-PRO
The Stryker Power-PRO XT sets the standard for superior performance and outstanding ergonomics. The Stryker provides a larger patient surface easily accommodates taller patients. The Stryker maximizes space between patient and operator. The industry-leading Stryker Power-PRO XT powered ambulance cot dramatically reduces strenuous lifting and the associated risk of back injury. The innovative battery powered hydraulic system raises and lowers patients with the touch of a button. Bariatric easy to use manual back-up system provides complete cot operation in the event of power loss. A foot end mounted DEWALT™ Battery System is accessible and easily changed in any situation. The retractable head section allows the cot to be shortened in any height position for maximum versatility and the exclusive automatic high speed retract feature reduces load and unload times.
Zoll AED Pro
The AED Pro® provides advanced capabilities for BLS and ALS users. New features include ECG monitoring with standard ECG electrodes, combined AED capability with manual defibrillation and controlled access for BLS and ALS users.
